چکیده

Nanostructured inorganic biomaterial emerged as the most essential platform to address traumatic and non-traumatic conditions of hard tissues in current scenario. Synthetic biomaterials serve an efficient pathogen-free choice that overcomes obstructions associated with autografts allografts promote new tissue regeneration, since nano-hydroxyapatite (nHAp) is a mimics natural mineral composition bones teeth human tissues, which widely employed orthopedics dentistry. The nHAp-based materials exhibit bioactive, biocompatible, osteoconductive features under vitro vivo conditions. brittle nature synthetic nHAp leads weak mechanical properties, eventually confines utility load-bearing applications. Hence, this review focuses on recent trends fabrication investigation polymer nanocomposite scaffolds for bone regeneration. Employing different polymers strategies would efficiently tailor physicochemical tailor-made properties competence biodegradation, thereby enhancing their potential biomedical utility, exploring efficacy make “HAp-based smart-biomaterials” engineering.

Biodegradable Polymer-bioceramic Composite Scaffolds for Bone Tissue Engineering

Critical size bone defects due to trauma or disease are very difficult to repair via the natural growth of the host bone. Therefore, these defects must be filled with a bridging material (scaffold), which should also, in combination with relevant cells and signalling molecules, promote the regeneration of new bone tissue. In this context, bone regeneration is one of the most attractive areas in...

A Review on Commonly Used Scaffolds in Tissue Engineering for Bone Tissue Regeneration

Introduction: Bone is one of the tissues that have a true potential for regeneration. However, sometimes the bone defects are so outsized that there is no chance of bone self-repair and restoration or the damage is such that it is not possible to repair with medical or surgical interventions. In these situations, bone grafts are the treatment of choice, but due to several obstacles, including l...

Polymer-based composite scaffolds for tissue engineering.

Tissue engineering may be defined as the application of biological, chemical and engineering principles toward the repair, restoration or regeneration of living tissue using biomaterials, cells and biologically active molecules alone or in combinations. The rapid restoration of tissue biomechanical function represents a great challenge, highlighting the need to mimic tissue structure and mechan...

Composite Scaffolds for Bone Tissue Engineering

Biomaterial and scaffold development underpins the advancement of tissue engineering. Traditional scaffolds based on biodegradable polymers such as poly(lactic acid) and poly(lactic acidco-glycolic acid) are weak and non-osteoconductive. For bone tissue engineering, polymer-based composite scaffolds containing bioceramics such as hydroxyapatite can be produced and used. The bioceramics can be e...

Fabrication of Porous Hydroxyapatite-Gelatin Composite Scaffolds for Bone Tissue Engineering

Background: engineering new bone tissue with cells and a synthetic extracellular matrix represents a new approach for the regeneration of mineralized tissues compared with the transplantation of bone (autografts or allografts). Methods: in this study, to mimic the mineral and organic component of natural bone, hydroxapatite (HA) and gelatin (GEL) composite scaffolds were prepared. The raw mater...
